Healthy snacking is one of the best things you can do for your body. Those times between meals when you start craving food are important times to give your body something that isn’t nutrient dense and filling. This will help keep you away from the processed snacks and sweets, if you’re tempted by those.
Crab stuffed avocado is so good it could be a meal. Just eat two halves and you’ve got a meal. Or, pair a half stuffed avocado with your favorite sides to make your 400 calories.
You can buy crab meat in your grocery store seafood department or do like we do and save some meat from a crab dinner. Dice up a little tomato, onion and cilantro and you have a mouth watering treat.
- 1 medium Hass avocado
- 2 tbsp chopped red onion
- 3 oz lump crab meat
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 cherry tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 tsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp salt and fresh black pepper
- In a bowl, combine the onion, lime juice, cilantro, tomato, olive oil, half the salt and pepper. Add the crab and mix together.
- Halve the avocado. Peel the skin off the avocado. Season with remaining salt and pepper. Fill the avocado halves with the crab mixture.
